Skill Development Opportunities

Elevation’s Base Camp Skills Academy is a membership-style, subscription-based model of consistent, long-term athletic and skill development for players who have not yet participated in high school basketball. 

The emphasis here is on the core skills that make a player a player: defending on and off the ball, rebounding, passing and catching, ball-handling, finishing in the paint and at the rim, shooting in space, principles of play, and fast-paced decision-making. 

Base Camp also involves athletic development in its own right, helping young players improve their self-organization skills through balance, rhythm, agility, speed, stability, flexibility, strength, and perception of their competitive environment on the basketball court. 

Our goal will always be for a committed, energetic graduate of Base Camp to contribute at a high level to the first (and every) interscholastic team she joins.  

Base Camp Fee: $500 for a full program year (9/1 to 8/31); participation requires an "extended coverage" AAU Athlete Membership ($26 for the year), which you can secure here using our Club Code of UTAKARYYE

Launching in the Spring of 2026, our Ascent Shooting Academy is designed to help players develop the single most important skill in our game: the ability to put the ball in the basket. In modern basketball, from the middle school level to the WNBA, there is no substitute for being able to shoot the rock. Players who are great shooters (and, as always, great teammates!) will earn roster spots, playing time, and a world of possibilities in the game of basketball. Elite shooting ability isn’t a sufficient skill in our game, but it is increasingly necessary, and not just for guards and wings. 

This program will help players refine the technical, physical, mental, and emotional elements of becoming a great shooter. This isn't just about getting "reps." It's about developing strength and adaptability as a prime-time shot-maker.

Enrollment in Ascent Shooting Academy will be available by special request and application only, with the number of athletes limited to ensure sufficient reps for all participants.

Ascent Fee: $200 for a full program year (9/1 to 8/31); we will prorate 2026 fees for the partial program year. Participating players must also be members of Base Camp or Summit

Launching in the Spring of 2026, Elevation Basketball’s Summit Skills Academy is an advanced program for girls who are entering or continuing with high school basketball. As with Base Camp, Summit is a subscription-based model where participating athletes can join any or all Summit sessions when Elevation coaches are in the gym. 

The focus in our Summit workouts will be preparing players to contribute meaningfully to their varsity teams and, for those who aspire to do so, to extend their playing careers beyond high school.

Summit Fee: $500 for a full program year (9/1 to 8/31); we will prorate 2026 fees for the partial program year. Participation requires an "extended coverage" AAU Athlete Membership ($26 for the year), which you can secure here using our Club Code of UTAKARYYE
